The story
Aman (translated from Armenian as “plate”) is a restaurant offering authentic Armenian and European cuisine with a unique, signature twist. Our restaurant is located in the Old Ijevan Boutique Hotel. Our menu features authentic Armenian dishes, barbecue, and a variety of breakfast options. Plan a stop at our restaurant during your travels and enjoy delicious food in a cozy atmosphere!
According to legend, long ago in Ijevan, there was a family that owned an ancient family plate, passed down through generations. People believed that if a magical flower could be grown on this plate, it would bring good fortune.
However, when the time came to pass the plate to the next generation, one of the children tried to keep it for themselves. The plate accidentally fell and shattered, leaving behind just one shard.
This shard was later discovered on the site where the Old Ijevan Hotel and Restaurant now stand. Today, it is kept in the History Museum of Armenia and served as the inspiration for the restaurant’s name and design.
